Young Objects

Young Objects (Aretha Choi) is a New York based sculptor. She works primarily in paper pulp, shaping cardboard into biomorphic forms that live somewhere between surreal and organic worlds.

The cardboard is rinsed, processed, and made in small batches of pulp. Each piece is then hand sculpted, air dried, and finished with varying techniques that match the feeling of the object.

Her sculptures play with texture, illusions of weight, and themes inspired by old rituals and contemporary city life.
